About the PTA
Camelsdale Primary School’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) includes everyone—all parents are members of the school’s PTA! Meetings are held regularly throughout the year and are a chance for parents to discuss major fundraising events that take place throughout the year, exchange views and new ideas, and get an update with our Head Teacher, Mrs Palmer, on school progress, key initiatives and other news.
The PTA runs a number of established fundraising events, such as the Summer and Christmas Fairs, social evenings, and cake sales, throughout the year. However, did you know they also fund, supply and run a huge number of activities that, without them, just wouldn’t be able to happen?
it’s fun, enjoyable and very rewarding, and great for the children to see their mums and dads supporting the school in this way!
Additionally, it is also these ‘little things’ that make our school the very special, unique place it is: providing refreshments for school discos, the ‘annual sleepover’, and sports day; organising reception gatherings for our Spanish exchange students; supplying confectionery for the much-enjoyed Annual Easter Egg Hunt; and ‘helping’ Santa bring ALL our children a little ‘early Christmas present’ when he visits their Christmas party!
Being an active part of the PTA can enlighten you in how our school functions and give you an opportunity to influence some things. Do come and join us and get involved; you can give as much or as little time as you have. Either way, it’s fun, enjoyable and very rewarding, and great for the children to see their mums and dads supporting the school in this way!
