How the Family Information Service Can Help You

The Family Information Service (FIS) provides information to parents and carers of 0-25 year olds on childcare (the only service authorised to hold information on Ofsted registered childcare), family activities and support services.

• Visit the FIS website to find local childcare, including holiday schemes, breakfast and after school clubs.
• If you are finding it difficult to find suitable childcare, you can let FIS know your specific needs by completing their Extra Help To Find Childcare Form (you will need to create/have a West Sussex County Council online account to access this form).
• The FIS website will also help you find services that work directly with families and young people including parent and child groups, youth groups and youth services. It will also provide up-to-date information on the expansion of childcare provision outlined in the Spring 2023 budget.
