Music is regarded as an important subject at Camelsdale Primary School.
Music is taught by experienced music subject lead, Mrs Juniper, every Friday.
There are also a wealth of performance opportunities which take place throughout the academic year.
Specialist peripatetic music teachers visit throughout the week to provide instrumental lessons.
We currently offer lessons in piano, recorder, flute, guitar, violin and singing. If you wish to express an interest in your child having music lessons please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Those children receiving instrumental lessons are given the opportunity to perform in concerts which take place during the Spring and Summer terms, in addition to performing in assemblies.
All children sing in the Harvest Festival, Christingle and Easter Service. The year is rounded off with a Summer concert, each class performs two items to showcase work they have covered throughout the year.
Choir is a free lunchtime club available to all junior children it is a very popular club indeed, 50 members currently! All choir members perform at all concerts and services and Year 5 and 6 children also have the opportunity to sing at The O2 and perform as part of the "Young Voices" choir every other year.
We are very proud to be recognised as a Music Mark School.
