Camelsdale has a Home School Agreement which all  involved parties are asked to sign and adhere to.

The agreement is signed by the Headteacher, on behalf of the school, the Parents or Carers and by the Child themselves once they reach Year 2.

The agreement is shown below, there is also a girl's version. If you would like to print a copy, the pdf versions appear at the foot of the page for you to download.

The School’s Agreement

The school will agree to:

  • Treat him fairly, care for him and do our best to ensure his happiness and safety.

  • Do our best to ensure that he is well taught and that he is given the opportunity to achieve his potential in all aspects of the school life, covering a broad and balanced curriculum, through memorable, first hand experience activities.

  • Help him to develop a sense of responsibility and to be polite and considerate of others.

  • Provide a wide range of subjects and after school activities to meet his individual needs and interests which can both challenge and inspire.

  • Keep you well informed about general school matters and in particular about his progress and any problems.

  • Be welcoming at all times and offer you opportunities to become involved in the life of the school.

  • In essence, develop all that is “The Camelsdale Way”

Parents’ / Carers’ Agreement

        I/we will agree to:

  • See that he come to school daily and on time, unless ill and is collected promptly, wears school uniform and with all the right equipment he needs, including PE kit, art shirt, equipped pencil case, wellies & waterproof coat.

  • Let the school know about any problems, illness or home situations that might affect his work, behaviour or his ability to attend school.

  • Support him with his reading, spelling, number work, IRP’s/PRP’s and any other home learning activities, e.g. Moodle activities.

  • Comment in the Homework and Reading Record.

  • Encourage him to join after school activities which interest him.

  • Attend parents’ evening, discuss his progress and contribute to the report.

  • Support school policies on behaviour, discipline, homework & “The Camelsdale Way”.

The Pupil’s Agreement

I will agree:-

  • To bring the things to school I need everyday and look after them properly.
  • To look after my school uniform, be tidy and tie back my hair if it is long.
  • To look after my playstore key fob.
  • Not to wear jewellery to school and remove my watch or ear studs when I do PE or sports club.
  • To work hard and do all my classwork and homework as well as I can so I can be the best learner I can be.
  • Not to be disruptive to other children as they work and learn.
  • Not to bring toys into school.
  • To behave well, be polite, kind, helpful, honest and respectful to all adults and children.
  • To help look after the school and its grounds, eg: do my share of Community Service + ECO Police work.
  • To walk in school and use a quieter voice.
  • Not to use bad language in school.
  • To make sure I’ve had enough sleep and a good breakfast so that I can be ready for learning.
  • To eat my lunch, drink lots during the day and possibly eat some fruit.
  • To follow “The Camelsdale Way”
  • To use the Moodle and Internet Safely.
