Entrance hall display

Pupils at Camelsdale have been working hard on several programmes to reduce waste inside and outside the school.

Eco-warriors have the responsibility of ensuring all the taps and lights are turned off after use and that no one drops litter in the playground.

Any left-overs from their environmentally friendly lunch boxes are put on the school compost heap for eventual recycle in the school grounds.

As well as the usual recycling the children are collecting old mobile phones, batteries and ink cartridges.
So if you live locally and have any of these please drop them into school.

The pupils are now aiming to work towards the silver award which will involve looking at new ideas to make the school a greener place.

Teachers and pupils will be looking at other areas of environmental awareness such as energy efficiency, waste management and how they travel to and from school.
